Not-Nog Protein Shake for the Holidays

In-Shape | 30 Nov, 2022 | Healthy Recipes | Return|

What’s more synonymous with the holidays than eggnog? With its creamy texture and full-of-spice and everything nice flavor, we don’t blame you for wanting to polish off the whole container. But watch out, most packaged eggnogs (including the non-dairy versions) are also full of refined sugar, gums, coloring, and other processed food ingredients.

When that next craving for eggnog calls, why not whip up this version instead? Great for a post-workout recovery, an afternoon snack or an evening treat cuddled up by the fire, this Not-Nog Protein Shake ticks all the boxes, without all the not-so-nice ingredients.

Not-Nog Protein Shake

Blend the following:

  • 1 cup milk or milk alternative
  • 1 serving of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 small frozen banana sliced
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • Nutmeg to taste

Enjoy!
