10 Healthy Foods From Target Under $10

In-Shape | 12 May, 2022 | Healthy Recipes | Return|

Healthy eating can get expensive, especially at the specialty stores we love like Whole Foods, Sprouts and Trader Joe’s. Luckily, Target groceries across California are stocking more healthy food options—some of which are even exclusive to their Good & Gather brand. During our last Target run, we hunted down some of the best staples for healthy weeknight dinners, plus a few satisfying snacks, all under a $10 price tag.

Dinnertime Finds Under $10

Teriyaki Sesame Salmon

Teriyaki Sesame Salmon
Odds are, you need more fish in your diet. Dieticians name salmon one of the foods they wish you’d eat more often. This main dish comes in at under $10, and they’ve already done the marinating for you. This one’s definitely a catch.

Thai Curry Nuggets

Thai Curry Nuggets
Need something easy for dinner on Meatless Monday? Throw these Thai curry nuggets over rice and serve with veggies. You can also add them into stir fries, salads and pasta.

Vegetable Lentil Roasted Red Pepper Soup

Vegetable Lentil & Roasted Red Pepper Soup
Soup’s on! This boxed soup is vegan, organic, and made up of ingredients you’d recognize by name. This healthy, hearty soup might become a pantry staple in your house. Heat it up and serve with bread, salad, and a side of fruit for a delicious meal.

Shredded Chicken

Shredded Chicken
Sure, this might seem back-to-basics for you, but it’s good to have an easy-win dinner ready for when things get hectic. Use this shredded chicken to make chicken tacos, wraps, homemade pizza or add it to salad or pasta.

Banza Chickpea Pasta

Banza Chickpea Pasta
Ever tried pasta made from chickpeas? It’ll take your dinner from carb-loaded to nutrient-packed. Banza pasta boasts 20g of protein and 8g of fiber per serving, while regular pasta offers around 7g of protein and 2g of fiber per serving.

Cooked shrimp

Cooked Shrimp
For under $10, you can get a large bag of pre-cooked shrimp to keep in the freezer for emergencies. And by “emergencies,” we mean “I barely have any time to make dinner” moments. Defrost as many as you’d like in cold water for about 10 minutes, then heat. You could make the easiest pasta dish ever, add these to wraps, make shrimp tostadas, or add to a salad.

Healthy snacks under $10

Epic Chicken Sriracha Bar

Epic Chicken Sriracha Bar
This savory snack is seriously high in protein (11g per serving) and Certified Gluten-Free, Keto Friendly, Whole30 approved and Paleo friendly. These bars are on the pricey side, but they’re a lighter choice than beef jerky with all the portable protein.

Larabars

Larabars
If you want a plant-based snack bar, Larabars are a popular choice because they’re made with just a handful of real ingredients: the chocolate chip cookie dough is made from cashews, dates, apples, sea salt, vanilla extract, and semisweet chocolate chips.

Hard-boiled eggs

Hard-boiled Eggs
Sure, you could make these at home, but Target has them in grab-and-go packs with no peeling required. You can throw these into your kids’ lunch boxes or just reach for these when you’re in need of a healthy snack.

Honey & Lavender Glazed Almonds

Honey & Lavender Glazed Almonds
If you’re obsessed with lavender lattes, this one’s obviously a must-try. The honey and lavender flavors are subtle to let the natural nuttiness shine through. This flavor combination is a little sophisticated, so it’s not likely to be a hit with the kids—so make sure to grab a regular nut mix for the little ones.

Happy shopping! If you haven’t already, make sure to check out our roundup of healthy snacks from Target.
