5 Of Our Favorite Podcasts For Motivation

In-Shape | 24 Mar, 2022 | Wellness Tips & Trends | Return|

We love a good pep talk from a friend—but it turns out, a pep talk from a stranger can be just as motivating. Whether you’re looking for tips on how to get more done (AKA how to fit a workout into your busy schedule) or you’re looking for something motivating to listen to while you’re on the treadmill, these five podcasts are our favorites. We hope you find something you love!

1. Mind Pump
Mind Pump is a fitness podcast that aims to debunk fitness myths and provide truthful health and fitness information. Podcast topics include how to tell if overtraining is killing your gains and the pros and cons of fitness partners. If listening to people talk fitness pumps you up for a workout, this might be a great one to add to your list.

2. ProdPod
We’re all busy, and sometimes it’s hard to find time to listen to an entire podcast episode. Each episode of ProdPod, a podcast offering tips on how to increase your productivity, is two minutes or less. Podcasts topics include how to worry less and how to form a productive habit. Try popping this podcast on while you do some before-bed stretches or while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee to pick up some tips.

3. The Happiness Lab
This podcast will change the way you think about happiness and motivation. Yale professor Dr Laurie Santos presents the latest scientific research on human happiness—and will offer advice to help you reshape your thoughts. Topics include the power of a made-up ritual and working your way to happiness. One of our favorite episodes for fitness inspiration is You Can’t Always Want What You Like.

4. On Purpose with Jay Shetty
Jay Shetty’s podcast On Purpose features insightful (and often famous) guests who talk about everything from productivity to love. Topics include time management, coping with anxiety, unblocking negative emotions and self-compassion. You’re sure to recognize a few of the names from this show, which features guests from a range of backgrounds, from Jane Goodall to Kobe Bryant.

5. Oprah’s Super Soul
On Oprah’s podcast, she features interviews with thought-leaders, best-selling authors and health and wellness experts. Topics include the power of women, freeing yourself from negative thoughts and daring greatly. This podcast is intended to “light you up,” so get ready to get inspired to be your best self.
