Movement

It is crucial to stay physically active during Thanksgiving week because it helps you to stay energized for all the fun activities, reduce stress during the busy time of year, and to balance out the indulgence of the holidays. Perhaps you wouldn’t feel as guilty eating Mom’s apple pie if you stick to your studio fitness classes all week. Plus, this can be a fun way to bond with family and friends; invite them to join you!

Stay Mindful

Staying mindful during Thanksgiving week is key because it helps us fully savor and appreciate the present moment. This allows us to be present with our loved ones, keep fitness goals on track, and truly experience the joy and gratitude of the holiday. Staying mindful helps to cultivate meaningful memories and cherishing the time we have with our loved ones.

Indulge with Intention and Enjoying Yourself

Indulging with intention during the holidays allows you to savor your favorite treats and traditions while still maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. So before you dig into something, remember to choose. Saying yes to one thing means you need to say no to something else. So, if you don’t really love the mash potatoes, skip them and leave room for that pumpkin pie. Eat what brings you joy and satisfaction and leave the guilt behind.

Gratitude and Give Thanks

Gratitude is the antidote to stress. Noticing the good and expressing gratitude for all the blessings in your life helps you navigate the stress that also comes with this time of year. There are many ways to give gratitude and thanks. You can express it in heartfelt words of thanks to loved ones, write thank you notes, or share what you are grateful for during a special shared meal.
